WEEK 10 FINALE - The Bachelorette 2012 (Emily)

As I write this final blog closing out season 8 of The Bachelorette 2012 with Emily, I'm listening to Peter Cetera "Glory of Love" as we heard in the video montage at the end of the episode.... which was completely cheesy as hell.  Although I must say, not only am I secure enough in my manhood to write a Bachelorette blog, but I can also admit that I totally sang along with the whole song.  Kick ass!

Well, this finale was absolutely unique.  It starts out with a live studio audience and I'm left wondering what the hell happens in the show in order for them to come up with the studio audience idea to kill time; which is exactly what they used it for.  Killing time.  There were a few moments where you heard the live audience laughter during the show and I was about to get pissed cause it completely distracting and not in the true nature of the show up til now.  Luckily, their volume was low and we didn't hear them more than a few times.

So the show kicks off with Jef meeting Emily's parents, which couldn't possibly go any better.  I would have enjoyed that segment a little more if I wasn't distracted by Emily's brother's crooked mouth.  Holy shit that was creepy!

Arie's meeting with her parents went well as a whole, but started very awkwardly.  Arie admits that he rambles when he's nervous and he doesn't come off well at first.  That quickly changes though and the family can't choose between the two guys which leaves Emily with no help.

Has anyone noticed how horrible the grammar is with the people from the Bachelor and Bachelorette?  For instance, last season, most of the girls would say things like, "I think Brad and I's relationship is great."  Really?  Brad and I's???  Ugh.  I just want to point out that not only is Jef a great guy in every way, he also uses proper grammar like "Emily's and MY relationship."

Final date with Jef
Jef's "date" was spent with Rickie playing at the pool.  Emily was still hesitating on whether or not to let either guy meet Rickie.  Jef told Emily to put herself in his shoes.  Would she propose to someone if she's never met their child.  Made total sense to her and she was confident enough in Jef so they spent the whole day with Rickie, which couldn't have gone any better.  Jef was a natural and very excited.  The next day Rickie asked her mommy if Jef could come back over and play.  If Emily was looking for a sign as for which guy to pick, there is no bigger sign that hearing that from her daughter!

The Twist
With 49 minutes left in the show, Emily talked to Chris Harrison and explains how she doesn't even want to go on the final date with Arie, which made Bachelorette history.  She knows that Jef is the one.  Naturally, she is broken because she did love Arie and doesn't want to break his heart.  Skip to the "date" with Arie and he's so excited to see her.  The comments he makes to the camera are just excruciatingly painful as he has no idea she's coming to say goodbye.  Arie begins making some witch doctor love potion shit which blatantly has no effect on reality.  Emily shows up and we witness another awkward and tearful farewell.  Arie is blindsided.

At the end while Emily waits for Jef to arrive, we hear her say things like how she's unsure about accepting a proposal because she doesn't want to be that girl, the one who gets engaged 3 times that all end unsuccessful.  Most likely we hear this to create suspense.  When Jef shows up, Emily tells him that she never went on the date with Arie, she sent him home, and Jef is the only person she's seeing today.  Jef is elated, says a bunch of romantic shit cause he's awesome, gets on one knee, and 10 seconds later, Emily says yes.

Best part of the entire season!
For me, it was the cheesy video montage with "Glory of Love" in the background.  They show highlights of Emily and Jef meeting, the dates they went on, and first kiss.  What made it amazing is how they mixed in Jef playing with Rickie and the three of them as a family.  Right after the proposal, Rickie runs out and the three of them walk off hand - in hand - in hand while Emily says, "We did it!"  The viewers aren't only left with the satisfaction of seeing the Bachelorette fall in love.  We are left with comfort of knowing that a 6 year old little girl has a daddy... who is excited to be in her life and is best friends with her mommy.  For me this was more satisfying than any other season.

After the Final Rose:
Emily sees Arie again and we find out how Arie flew to see her but only left his journal that she did not read.  He had hopes of either finding closure, or creating a new beginning.  We find out that Arie gets the closure he needed from a few phone calls to his good friend Jef.  Jef comes out and luckily we find out that things are going well.  Jef plans to move to where Emily lives because he doesn't want to disrupt Rickie's life.  The plan is to get his own place for a while and eventually live together somewhere that suits all of them.  No official wedding date planned although Emily expressed how she'd like a Spring wedding.

And they lived happily ever after!

WEEK 9 - The Bachelorette 2012 (Emily)

Let me start by saying things are going absolutely as predicted.  I don’t want to say I’m a great judge of character or anything, but I will say I’m probably some sort of god… and not just by the way I can have an orgasm in under a minute… with myself…

In the beginning segment of tonight’s show, Emily writes her name in the sand with a question mark below.  Then the water washes away the question mark leaving Emily’s name by itself.  Is this foreshadowing that she ends up picking no one and will remain alone?  Well the previews for the upcoming finale are leaning toward that theory.  So let’s get into it!

Date #1: Sean
Emily and Sean take a helicopter ride to the beach.  Unfortunately Kalon, the helicopter douche, wasn’t there.  That just would have been fantastic.  Sean shows up for the date once again with loafers with no socks and pink shorts.  And again, I would have sent him home for this reason alone.  While talking in the sand, the conversation came up regarding his feelings toward Emily.  Sean suggests to go snorkeling???  I assume he’s just nervous to tell her that… he’s her brother.  Look at them!  They look the same!  After snorkeling, Sean read to Emily a letter that he wrote to her daughter Rickie.  The handwriting looked curiously like it was written by a woman, probably his other girlfriend.  Emily didn’t seem to care about the feminine handwriting which matched his pink shorts.  He continues to try to tell her how he feels about her.  He actually doesn’t even say it. He reluctantly says, “I’m falling in love with you.”  I don’t think Sean has ever told anyone he loves them.  He kept saying things like, “You know how I feel right?” Great communication skills, douche.  Emily is eating this up and is naturally soaking wet, and not from their previous snorkeling adventure.  When comparing Emily to his previous relationships, he tells her that she “measures up.”  Somehow, Emily thinks this is a compliment.  They hang out in their fantasy suite and Sean wants to stay all night.  Big shock.  Emily chooses not to stay cause she’s a mom and doesn’t want Ricky to someday see her mom being a whore… even though she makes out with multiple strangers on television and gets into a bikini with every guy this episode.  Either way, we predicted this cause she didn’t stay with Brad in his season of The Bachelor.  And for those counting at home, Emily touched her hair 9 times during this segment.

Date #2: Jef
Some boat ride or some shit.  I don’t even know what river/lake/ocean they’re on.  It’s irrelevant cause Jef is with her.  And Jef kicks ass.  Jef lets Emily know that his family approves of her, which is music to her ears.  Jef asks real questions, like he always does.  He vocalizes his curiosity regarding where they’re going to live, and questions about Ricky.  He gets a bad rap over his age, but he’s more mature than anyone else on the show.  When given the fantasy suite card, Jef tells Emily that he plans on spending every night in their own fantasy suite for the rest of their lives.  He passes, on staying the night because he knows Ricky will watch this someday.  Emily expressed that he beat her to saying everything she was going to say.  They are blatantly made for one another and she sucks if she doesn’t pick Jef.  And again, for those counting, Emily touched her hair 11 times during this segment.

Date #3: Arie
Naturally, they are in swim suites doing something in the water.  This is probably the closest they can get considering Emily never goes in the fantasy suites.  Maybe the real reason she doesn’t stay the night with anyone is because she has saucer nipples and she’s embarrassed.  Arie seems genuinely interested in Ricky as well.  He talks about his typical night which consists of being out to dinner with friends cause he’s so social.  Emily is a homebody which could pose problems.  Plus he’s always gone with his racing.  Let’s be honest, if she picks Arie in the end, it’s because she doesn’t really want a guy at home all the time.  Arie mentions Emily makes him feel like the man of the relationship, whatever the hell that means.  Emily doesn’t even offer the fantasy suite card.  Not sure why.  She says she doesn’t trust herself with him which could be a clue that she’s into him the most… or that she has saucer nipples.  Emily touched her hair 11 times during this segment.

Before the Rose Ceremony
Emily watches the video diaries from the guys.  Sean says I love you… to the video camera but he can’t say it to her in person.  Nothing he says sounds genuine.  Jef on the other hand, sounds genuine as always.  Arie does as well.  Is it bad that I noticed Jef is wearing a black tie and a brown belt in the rose ceremony?

Who's left?
  1. Jef, a guy who spells his name with one f.
  2. Arie, a guy who spells his name… well how the hell are you supposed to spell a name like Arie anyway?  Stupid.

Voted off:
Sean – probably voted off because he might have been her brother… and he was emotionless. Sean is the new Bently (for those who watched the last Bachelorette).  He was talking to the camera on the way home but his face never changed.  He looked like he could care less.  The only disappointment he probably feels is that he wasn’t picked, just for the sake of the game.  For the first time, he’s a loser.  Mr. Perfect at sports, good looking, huge cock, doesn’t have to commit to anyone cause he constantly has chicks offering to blow him, and probably has money cause he really does live with his parents… was finally denied by someone, on national television no less.

Predictions!
On the After the Final Rose episode, they will have two big announcements:  1, The wedding date has been set for Emily and Jef, and 2, they will give the due date of Emily’s baby with Arie.  But Jef is fine with it, cause he’s the only one who wanted to be a dad anyway.  Okay, actually all my predictions have come true so far.  We’re down the final two, Jef and Arie.  I’ve been predicting that Arie will go home and she’ll pick Jef.  However, I’m honestly hoping for the opposite.  I hope she picks Arie so that Jef will be the next Bachelor.  Think about it.  A whole episode of Jef and 24 hot chicks!

WEEK 8 - The Bachelorette 2012 (Emily)

Hometown Date #1: Chris, the douche in Chicago
When describing the last rose ceremony to his mother, Chris referred to himself as a “hot mess.” Hot mess definition: An attractive person, generally female, that repeatedly engages in situations which could negatively impact his or her social, mental, societal, and legal reputation.  In other words, Chris is a douche.  He just has the worst facial expressions, and pretty much looks like a slow adult.  At the end, they showed Chris’s dad dancing with Emily.  You know he totally wants to bang her.  And he probably could if his only competition is his slow adult son.  I mean seriously, is anyone rooting for Chris?

Hometown Date #2: Jef in Salt Lake City Utah
Jef’s parents weren’t there but his huge family was.  All went well and before it was over, Jef read something to Emily that he had written on his last flight home.  This would have been completely cheesy with anyone else, but somehow with Jef, it just works.  He’s romantic, emotional and added things in his note about how he would be with Ricky.  He’s the man.

Hometown Date #3: Arie in Scottsdale AZ
Arie took Emily for a ride in his indi car.  She described Arie as “stupid hot.”  While meeting the family, they all start speaking Dutch which makes Emily uncomfortable and she expresses how his family is way different compared to the other families she’s met.

Hometown Date #4: Sean in Dallas TX
When they meet, Sean is wearing loafers with no socks.  For this alone, she should have walked off this date.  When Emily finally meets Sean’s family, he drops the bomb… that HE STILL LIVES AT HOME!  Sean shows Emily his room which is messy and full of stuffed animals.  Sean expresses how he wishes his mom would have cleaned up before they came over.  Emily is done.  Everything good she ever thought has been shattered.  Unfortunately, he was joking.  I somehow still hope it’s true.  Sean’s parents are shocked that he’s “given” himself to a girl cause he’s never done that before.  THAT’S EXACTLY WHAT I’VE BEEN SAYING! He’s a player.  Dump him now.  As Emily drives away, he runs after the car to kiss her one last time.  Romantic?  Maybe.  Desperate plea from a man who’s never known commitment and probably lives with his parents?  Most likely.

Who's left?
  1. Jeff
  2. Arie
  3. Sean – safe from group date

Voted off:
Chris, the slow adult – as predicted

WEEK 7 - The Bachelorette 2012 (Emily)

Date #1: Arie
Walking around Prague.  We didn’t have to wait long to hear about Arie’s “relationship” with a producer. Right from the get-go we learn that it was very brief and was many years ago.  Off camera, Arie told Emily that it was so brief he never even thought about it.  Emily calms down after the conversation.  Later at dinner on some boat or some shit, Arie tells Emily he loves her.  Emily looked so happy that she was probably picturing Arie going down on her in the limo on the way to their honeymoon and wiping her vaginal secretion off his face.

Date #2: John
Some boat or something, and more walking.  They ran into the John Lennon wall and Emily talks about how putting a lock on the gate is good luck.  John can’t figure out how to lock it and Emily expressed that John trying to lock their lock, reminds her of their relationship.  They haven’t been able to really connect.  At dinner, John talks about having his heart broken and that’s why he takes things slowly.

Sean sneaks out!
Sean searches the streets for Emily.  Probably went two blocks or something.  He basically wanted to get some.  They don’t talk much.  Too busy making out.  And again, Emily is thrown against a wall in the heat of passion.  Emily's back must have more scars than Kunta Kinte!

Group Date: Sean, Doug, and Chris
Horse drawn carriage to some castle or some shit.  Emily takes Doug aside and tells him that he’s moving too slowly.  He kisses her and feels stupid shortly afterward because he read her signals the wrong way.  Emily sent him home.  Without going up against any of the other guys, Doug would be great.  But compared to everyone else, he’s too boring and too slow.  No shock that he’s gone.  Back to the date with Sean and Chris, they have to open some dungeon-looking room to spend one-on-one time with Emily.  I’m imagining this is normally called the rape room and I like to believe Emily was bent over a rock and slammed hard from behind. Just wasn’t on camera.  On camera however, Sean makes out with her again.  Chris is paranoid and complains about not having a one-on-one. Somehow Emily kisses him.  I have no idea why.  Chris is the new douche.  With no surprise, Sean gets the rose.  Chris, the douche, starts spouting off crap like, “If I don’t get a hometown date, I’ll be scared for anyone around me.”

Date #3: Jef
Walking around, and shop in a marionette shop… which is creepy as hell.  Leaving the shop, Jef runs back in to buy a marionette for Emily’s daughter.  They put on a puppet show of their relationship thus far, which was lame as hell but it showed that they have fun together.  Through the marionettes, Jef tells Emily he loves her… and suggests they get a dog.  Emily agrees but would rather get a cat.  SEE!  I’m telling you, Jef kicks ass!  They naturally make-out.  Jef talks about what it would be like on their hometown date and expresses how he thinks they think alike and both want to be two parents crazy in love.  They lay on the floor of a library and enjoy small talk about moving in before or after marriage, how soon to have kids, and more.  Jef asks all the important hard hitting questions that everyone should talk about before marriage.  SEE! He's smart like that!  While laying on the floor, you can barely hear Jef talking but he says, “I’m completely head over heels for you.  I want to date you so hard and marry the fuck out of you.”  Emily starts cracking up.  God dammit, Jef’s just the best.

Before the Rose Ceremony
Chris, the douche,  freaks out thinking he handled things poorly on the group date.  I think the guys know he’s the one going home.  Emily tells Chris Harrison that she has her mind made up and wants to skip the cocktail party.

During the rose ceremony
With one rose left to be given to either John or Chris, the douce, Chris asks Emily if they can talk.  He tries to convince Emily that he’s the one for her.  They walk back in and Emily chooses... CHRIS???  What the hell?!  Ugh, he is such a douche!  Emily walks John out and explains that the other relationships have progressed faster than theirs.  Probably true, but I would have thrown both John AND Chris right the hell out of there.

Who's left?
  1. Jeff
  2. Arie
  3. Sean – safe from group date
  4. Chris, the douche

Voted off:
Doug – sent home on group date
John – sent home from rose ceremony

Predictions:
They will be voted off in this order: Chris, the douce, then Sean, and between Jef and Arie, she'll pick Arie.  Jef is better for her, but I think she'll do the wrong thing and pick Arie.

Tuesday, June 19, 2012

WEEK 6 - The Bachelorette 2012 (Emily)

Date #1: Travis
Touring a city in Croatia.  Emily was looking for something beyond friendship.  During dinner, Travis admits he hasn’t dated since he was engaged two years ago.  Stupid thing to say.  Didn’t matter anyway though cause she didn’t feel a romantic connection with him and actually sent him home.

Group Date
The gang gets to watch the movie Brave before it comes out.  I can’t imagine anyone cared.  Then they had to compete in some dopy challenges like archery, throwing a log?? and some gay version of tug of war… all while wearing kilts.  Emily was definitely wet. Chris won a bravery award for going first with the log and picking someone bigger than him (Doug) in tug of war.  He pretty much got to make out with Emily.  At the end of the night, Emily assures Sean that he isn’t going anywhere.  Later while walking around, Arie pushes Emily up against a brick wall and starts making out with her.  He’s not too timid to use his hands and pull her hair either.  It was pretty bad ass.   Emily talks to Jef and once again, he proves to be the most genuine guy there.  Chrisended up getting the rose.

Date #2: Ryan
Road trip, tried oysters, walked around.  Ryan calls Emily a trophy wife again and she can’t figure him out.  At dinner, Ryan reads off this ridiculous list of 12 qualities he looks for in a wife. Loving family is nowhere on the list so Emily sends him home.  They share an awkward moment while Ryan tries to understand how he could be let go and it looked like Emily might change her mind and give him the rose anyway.  Luckily she did not.  The best was Ryan’s quote on his way home.  He said, “For your guys who cut this up, do a good job of portraying exactly who I am and not an arrogant ass,” which kinda shows, even he knows he’s an arrogant ass.  And yes, last week I accurately predicted Ryan would get booted off. ;)

After the date with Ryan
Arie sneaks over to where Emily was staying to tell her he’s happy that she has good judgment and he would have told her Ryan was the wrong guy had she kept him.  Emily’s vagina swells up as she realizes Arie has her back.  They make out some more and she gives Arie Ryan’s rose.

 Before the Rose Ceremony
Emily flat out admits her bottom two are John and Doug so she spends time talked to the two of them hoping to figure out who to let go.

 During the rose ceremony
It’s down to John and Doug with one rose left.  Emily walks out to talk to Chris.  Emily comes back with no rose.  The twist comes with Chris Hanson following her with two roses.  No one goes home.

Who's left?
  1. Jeff, Entrepreneur/CEO of a Bottled Water company
  2. Arie, Race Car Driver
  3. Sean, Mr. Faith is important to me
  4. Doug, Father
  5. Chris, Corporate Sales Director – safe from group date
  6. John "Wolf", Data Destruction Specialist

Voted off:
Travis – sent home on one-on-one date
Ryan – sent home on one-on-one date

Predictions:
I’m holding with the final 3 being Arie, Jeff, and Sean and if Jeff does not win, he'll be the next bachelor.  Of course, previews for next week could throw off my prediction cause apparently Arie dated one of the producers???

Tuesday, June 12, 2012

WEEK 5 - The Bachelorette 2012 (Emily)

Date #1: Sean
Dinner in some London prison or some shit.  He gets the rose.

Group Date
The guys had to do a Shakespeare play.  Travis comes off well in Emily’s eyes cause he’s goofy and that’s what she’s looking for in a father for Ricky.  Emily is also more attracted to Arie after seeing him dress like a woman…  Kalon is the one that called Ricky “baggage.”  The best line of the entire show was when he tried to interject when Emily confronted him and she says, “I love to hear you talk but not until I’m done.  I learned that from you.”  Thanks to Kalon, Emily is now questioning the guys’ as well as her own motives.

Date #2: Jeff
The date begins with a dinner etiquette lesson which drives both Emily and Jeff crazy.  They leave in the middle of it.  When they have dinner in the eye of London, Jeff says all the right things and seems more genuine than anyone else in the house if you ask me.  “Emily takes my breath away. I like the girl that she is.  I like the mom that she is.  I like just the person that she is and I feel like Emily gives me the feeling that people write fairy tails about.”  I mean, come on!  Awesome.

Before the Rose Ceremony
I don’t recall anything outstanding happening before the ceremony other than Emily still questioning the guys after the Kalon incident.

Who's left?
  1. Ryan, Pro Sports Trainer
  2. Jeff, Entrepreneur/CEO of a Bottled Water company - safe from group date
  3. Arie, Race Car Driver
  4. Sean, Mr. Faith is important to me
  5. Doug, Father - safe from Date #1
  6. Chris, Corporate Sales Director
  7. John "Wolf", Data Destruction Specialist - safe from Date #2
  8. Travis, Advertising Sales Rep

Voted off:
Kalon, helicopter douche – told to get the fuck out for calling Emily’s daughter baggage
Alejandro, Mushroom Farmer – rose ceremony – And who cares.  We never got to know him anyway.

Preditions:
Ryan will have to be booted off soon.  He is just a scum bag.  The final 3 will be Arie, Jeff, and Sean.  If Jeff does not win, I hope he's the next bachelore.  He's the only genuin normal everyday guy in the bunch.

Tuesday, June 5, 2012

WEEK 4 - The Bachelorette 2012 (Emily)

Date #1: Doug, father
Before the date, the guys were picking on Doug knowing how nervous he was about it.  Arie actually came off looking badly if you ask me.  He seemed to be the biggest bully and I was shocked to see that in Arie.  On the date, Doug and Emily wrote a postcard to his son which Doug thought was sweet.  During dinner Emily asked him to list his flaws cause he seems too perfect.  It's possible that he's just too dull.  He seriously doesn't seem to have a personality.  Alas, he got a rose.

Group Date
The group date had a boat race challenge.  Winners got to spend more time with Emily.  When the winners arrived, Ryan, Pro Sports Trainer/cocky douche, toasted to his "trophy wife" which didn't sit right with anyone including Emily.  He just has a stupid way with words and I was shocked that he got a rose in the rose ceremony.  Jef got some alone time with Emily on the beach and she badly wanted him to kiss her but he never did.  Sure enough, he also wanted a kiss.  Jef seems to have this shy, boyish charm about him.  He in turn, received a rose.

Date #2: The dreaded 2 on 1 with John "Wolf" and Nate, accountant
Niether guy seems to have much personality.  They all went cliff jumping then cave dining.  John pretty much got the rose because he's older.  Nate seemed like more of an emotional guy in a good way.  He expressed how happy he is with his family and life.  But Emily said he's too young???  Stupid.

Before the Rose Ceremony
Chris, Corporate Sales Director talks to Doug, father one on one.  Chris asks Doug why he thinks he's a better fit than himself and seems very threatened and immature and just comes off as an ass.  Doug had no idea why he was so angry.  Chris is absolutely a douche.

Who's left?
  1. Kalon, helicopter douche
  2. Ryan, Pro Sports Trainer
  3. Jeff, Entrepreneur/CEO of a Bottled Water company - safe from group date
  4. Arie, Race Car Driver
  5. Sean, Mr. Faith is important to me
  6. Doug, Father - safe from Date #1
  7. Chris, Corporate Sales Director
  8. John "Wolf", Data Destruction Specialist - safe from Date #2
  9. Travis, Advertising Sales Rep
  10. Alejandro, Mushroom Farmer
Voted off
Nate, Accountant - sent home from Date #2
Charlie, Recruiter - rose ceremony
Michael, long hair guy - rose ceremony

Share your thoughts regarding week 4!  Previews show someone calling Emily's daughter "baggage!"  My guess is Ryan.

Wednesday, May 30, 2012

WEEK 3 - The Bachelorette 2012 (Emily)

Date #1: Chris, Corporate Sales Director
Climb the building to dinner, then dance to a shitty country band who rhymes words like “boom boom” and “Mhmm mhmm.”  Emily is nervous that Chris is only 25 years old, but she’s totally wet for him.  Sure enough, she gives him the rose.

Group Date
Emily ambushes the guys with her friends and their relationship questions.  Ryan, Pro Sports Trainer tells Emily that she better not get fat after they get married which was honestly, confusing.  Sean Insurance Agent, and Doug Charity Director/Realtor & father impressed the girls the most.  Doug tells Emily one of the most heart wrenching stories ever about his father who died and how he grew up which impressed Emily.  Sean is playing off this whole, “my family is about faith” card which is annoying and brainless. Tony, Lumber Trader & father was sent home cause he missed his son. Emily gave the rose to Sean for living up to expectations, whatever that means.

Date #2: Arie, Race Car Driver
Dollywood – Emily was literally shocked to see Dolly Parton… in Dollywood.  How the hell she didn’t see that coming is beyond me.  I was hoping she was have taken Arie to a racetrack.  But anyway, at dinner, he said all the right things and seems genuine.  He got the rose.  Emily said that Arie reminds her of her daughter’s dad and that was the best relationship she’s ever had so it gives her nervous positive feelings.

Before the Rose Ceremony
Kalon, the helicopter douche, talks with Emily one on one and in the middle of the conversations he says“I LOVE IT WHEN YOU TALK, BUT I WISH YOU’D LET ME FINISH.”  Travis, the ostrich egg douche, finally “set Shelly free” and smashed the egg.  I still would have sent him home.  Stupid. Alessandro uses the wrong word, “COMPROMISE,” to describe being with Emily’s child.  I don’t think he meant to use that word, but he’s too stupid to think of another one.  Emily sends him home.  Good riddance. Arie and Sean end up making out with her.

Who's left?
  1. Kalon, helicopter douche
  2. Ryan, Pro Sports Trainer
  3. Charlie, Recruiter
  4. Jeff, Entrepreneur/CEO of a Bottled Water company
  5. Arie, Race Car Driver - safe from one-on-one date
  6. Sean, Mr. Faith is important to me - safe from group date
  7. Doug, Father
  8. Chris, Corporate Sales Director - safe from one-on-one date
  9. Nate, Accountant
  10. John "Wolf", Data Destruction Specialist
  11. Travis, Advertising Sales Rep
  12. Michael, long hair guy
  13. Alejandro, Mushroom Farmer
Voted off:
Tony, Lumber Trader/Father – sent home to be with his kid
Alessandro, Grain Merchant – sent home cause Emily having a kid was a “compromise.”
Stevie, Party MC – rose ceremony

Share your thoughts regarding week 3!  My top two haven't changed since the first week.  I'm sticking with Jeff, Skater and Arie, Race Car Driver!  Although, Sean, Mr. faith is important to me, is creeping his way in there.

Tuesday, May 22, 2012

WEEK 2 - The Bachelorette 2012 (Emily)

This week, Travis, Advertising Sales Rep, who arrived with an ostrich egg in week 1, thankfully ditched the egg.  Had he held onto it, he would have been voted off.  Lucky for him, he's still around after that ridiculous display.  Kalon, Luxury Brand Consultant, helicopter douche, almost gets his ass kicked from putting his foot in his mouth, again.
Date #1: Ryan, Pro Sports Trainer
When Emily took Ryan on a date that consisted of her everyday life, Ryan could not have looked more out of place.  He looked very uncomfortable as if he felt ripped off.  I think he was lying through his teeth every time he said he was fine with the date and I was shocked that he got a rose.

    Group Date
When watching the promo for the group date being with the Muppets, I was less than thrilled.  But some of the jokes and the way the whole segment was produced was priceless!  I mean, when Kermit zipped up Emily's dress and Miss Piggy walked by and saw him... I was just dying.  Freaking classic jokes all the way down to Chris Harrison sitting in the crowd talking to one of the muppets. -  Jeff gets the rose on the group date after an awkward conversation.  I honestly thought he was going home cause he seemed uninterested.  He was very sheepish around her but it turned out in his benefit.

Date #2: Joe, Field Energy Advisor
Emily takes Joe to some hotel she used to hang out in as a kid??  I didn't catch why.  Anyway, Joe was sent home cause Emily wasn't feeling any sparks.  What little they showed of their conversations, it was hard to form an opinion either way regarding Joe.

    Before the Rose Ceremony
One conversation that stood out before the ceremony was with Arie, Race Car Driver.  She expressed how he makes her very nervous, in a good way.  Arie may prove to stick around longer than most just as I predicted with week 1.

    2. Ryan, Pro Sports Trainer - safe from one-on-one date
    3. Tony, Lumber Trader, has a son

    My recap:
Kalon the helicopter guy is vital to the show because of how much everyone hates him.  Quite frankly, he just comes off as a complete douche, which makes for great TV.  Jeff the skateboarder is an absolute winner.  He's filthy rich, runs a company that gives back to kids, and he takes pride in not being the traditional stuffy business man.  Emily can tell he's different in a good way.  He's gonna be around for a while.  Arie the race car driver came off very well bringing up the race car thing from the get go.  Emily not only seemed okay with it in spite of her past with her first fiancĂ©, but even seemed turned on.  Racing is the only sport she truly knows.  Arie could prove to stick around til the end.  I found Doug with the 11yr old son to be a douche.  I think having Emily read his kid's letter was a desperate attempt at standing out.  Of course he did get the 1st impression rose so what do I know!  Emily got extremely wet after seeing Nate, but we don't know much about him at this point.  I think he'll be around a while.  Travis's ostrich egg stunt was ridiculous.  I was shocked she kept him.  If he holds onto that thing one more episode, she has to get rid of him.  It's enough already.  Michael the long haired guy is blatantly the hottest guy there.  Long hair kicks ass.  And finally, keeping Alessandro and Alejandro was just stupid.  Who the hell would marry someone with those names?
